Highcliffe Castle is on the outskirts of the village of Highcliffe. Nestling on the border of Dorset and Hampshire, Highcliffe is an award winning floral village, 4 miles from the historic town of Christchurch.
Travelling by Car:
- The Castle car park currently holds 100 spaces including a bay for wedding car parking which can accommodate 30 spaces and there is also a further 6 spaces for blue badge holders. During summer months this car park often becomes busy from early in the day.
- Highcliffe Cliff Top car park currently holds 624 in Wharncliffe Road, BH23 5DF.
- Steamer Point car park currently holds 169 in Mudeford, BH23 4TA. From Steamer Point car park, Highcliffe Castle can be reached in 10 minutes by following the Coastal Path which follows a cliff top route through the nature reserve with stunning sea views of Christchurch Bay.
- St. Marks Church directly opposite the Lord Bute entrance. To ways of getting there is to drive from the Lymington Road down Castle Avenue, turn the first right onto Hinton wood avenue and the entrance is on the right. Drive through the Church track to the end, park and walk across the road. Or turn Down Hinton Wood Avenue opposite the Galleon pub, and the entrance is on the left just pass the church.
Travelling by train:
Hinton Admiral Train station is located 1 mile from the Castle and from this point visitors have a 15-20 min walk to reach the Castle. The train route services a number of stations on its through journey, notably the main being London, in just under 2 hours to the Castle. Bikes can also be transported on the train and then cycle from the station.
